Well I made it through the wiki lesson. I wasn't sure about it at first. I think that it could be a tool in the classroom when groups collaborating on an activity.
I think that blogging could be a useful tool for parents/teachers/students to use in the classroom. Blogging is a tool that could open the classroom walls to many classrooms abroad. I am excited about using this tool in the classroom some day.
I am currently not teaching but I know a lot parents who home school and am excited about showing them some of the new resources I've found through this class. I think some of the newer writing activites would excite the children who need an authentic audience to present to.

ReplyDeleteI agree that blogging is an excellent way for parents and teachers to stay connected. My only concern is what happens if parents do not have the resources or means to connect with the teachers via the internet? What then? More work for the teacher? I would assume yes. Good luck this semester!
